Isn't it wonderful? Osama Bin Laden should move here. He can apply for a housing loan and acceptance into the American Dream. Its treasonous but I've come to expect nothing less from Corporate America. Profits first, the country's security be damned.

How is it "KNOWINGLY" if, David Barr spokesman for the FDIC said: "The law does not require banks to check immigration status"?
To: clawrence3
Assuming David's statement is accurate.

In other words, get a house for free. A lot of Americans have no shame in selling out this country literally to the lowest bidder.

Its the Entitlement Mentality that will be the death of this nation if something isn't done about it - and soon.

How is it free again if they are making monthly mortgage payments?
To: stephenjohnbanker
Correct. And seriously, how many banks KNOWINGLY wash billions in illegal drug money? It can't be all sitting around in suitcases, can it?

"After frantic calls for help, Estela found ACORN Housing. She received a 30-year fixed mortgage at 5 percent interest, 1 percentage point lower than the standard rate. It costs $780 a month. Estela's home was appraised at $565,000. "
Is this fair? If she was in such debt why didn't she just sell her house.

That is heresay, at best. There will be a legal ruling in the future, and the banks will lose.

It's pretty disgusting how even on a conservative forum with the avowed mission of defending the Constitution, the Quisling cockroaches are such an infestation.

Quisling: a synonym for traitor, someone who collaborates with the invaders of his country.

U.S. Constitution Article 4 Section 4:"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"
Invasion: \In*va"sion\, n. [L. invasio: cf. F. invasion. See Invade.] [1913 Webster]
1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.

Mexico has allowed US citizens to have businesses and own homes in Mexico at different points in their history. Many times they have changed their mind, taken the business or home and turned it over to Mexican citizens. Anyone who owns a business or any other property in Mexico should be aware of this history.Intelligent observers of Mexico's prior behavior would avoid putting assets in harm's way. If you can't afford to have the Mexican government confiscate your property, you should not place it where they have the power to do so.
