What really irks me when I debate with my mother-in-law, a die hard feminist and lib, is that she and others don't seem to get the least bit upset at the prospect of us winding up living in a Taliban-like society (which is what will happen if our enemies have their way). The thinking seems to be "anything other than the Bush-bots, church-loving neocons is better". Baffling indeed.
