Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..

AQ doesn't need to do that, they already are affiliated with a political party in the US in the form of the Democrats. and they have their own media here too. True. What really irks me when I debate with my mother-in-law, a die hard feminist and lib, is that she and others don't seem to get the least bit upset at the prospect of us winding up living in a Taliban-like society (which is what will happen if our enemies have their way). The thinking seems to be "anything other than the Bush-bots, church-loving neocons is better". Baffling indeed.

Can the Dims sue and therefore get it there or does it have to be someone who really was survielled this way?

I think Kennedy realizes just how horribly he came off in the Alito hearings too because he's quite mild today.
Although he can't usually help himself for long and I expect another outburst at any second.

Kennedy: Since 9/11, has the president authorized any other surveillance?
Gonzales: I can't answer that.
Good. We don't need to let AQ know even MORE about what we're doing.

OMG!! Schumer just made a smarmy comment about Gonzalez "bobbing and weaving". And he called him "General". Schumer is too much of a coward to admit Gonzalez is running circles around him. I swear, Schumer would say the statue "The Thinker" is bobbing and weaving.

ROFL.
Kennedy is really worried about phone companies being subject to civil liabilities.
Well - only because the Rats have given the jihadists so many RIGHTS.

Strategy....ask questions you KNOW Gonzales can't answer for security reason, but get him on the record as not answering.
