Good Monday morning, once again, fellow political jinkies. The NFL season may be over, but the political season inside the Beltway is 24/7/365. So join us, if you can, as those wacky Dems on the Senate Judiciary committee reprise their pitiful efforts to once again smear President Bush and score political points..
Unfortunately not. This is all about finding some evidence to impeach Bush.
Those are very good questions considering Toon is refusing to give a straight answer on the subject. So much for Congressional oversight, eh?
Anyone who thinks Toon will get badgered with tough questions with very little room from which to stray off point from, from this collective group of duly elected mealy-mouthed goobers hellbent on impeaching President Bush is fooling themselves. This hearing has NOTHING to do with National Security.
When do they come back, and is Feingold up next?
It was soooooo sweet! I couldn't believe what I heard!
I bet this commercial has Hillary written all over it. She has been screaming for a special prosecutor for months now. She will not rest until a Republican President has been impeached.
Never heard of the Pajama Media and then walked off.
Is this an impeachment hearing just under another title?
They are at lunch right now. Having replays on cSpan right now.
Oh, he's heard of us alright.
the hearing resumes at 1:45pm est

At NRO's Corner, the invaluable Andrew McCarthy suggests that the answer to the question, in the eyes of some prominent liberals such as then-assistant attorney general and former acting Solicitor General Walter Dellinger, is: It depends on who the president is. McCarthy has more here and here.
McCarthy's commentary reflects tremendous work done by Bryan Cunningham to demonstrate the president's authority to authorize the NSA terrorist surveillance. Bryan Cunninhgam's lengthy but important letter is accessible in PDF in the first of McCarthy's three linked Corner posts (i.e., this one). McCarthy finds noteworthy the reversal executed by former Clinton officials (Walter Dellinger in particular) in attacking Bush while vigorously defending presidential power to ignore statutes while Clinton was in office.
I'll be joining Bill Bennett for the 7:30 a.m. (Eastern), 6:30 a.m. (Central) segment of his Morning in America show on Monday morning. We'll be discussing the the NSA surveillance controversy and upcoming hearings as well as the Danish cartoon uproar. Among the several Salem Radio Network affiliates with a live audio stream is the local Twin Cities affiliate AM 1280.
These guys are used to 'friendly' press. It's about time that they find out there is another press.
Do you mean that Durbin LIED? Wash your mouth out, Peach. LOL
Nothing more, nothing less. Beyond that, all we know is the Democrats are still stuck on stupid.
Sure sounds like it, doesn't it?
But it could :)
Describes what looks like a bit of housecleaning in the DoJ.
I think that was 'held' last Monday. Shehasbeen, Ramsey Clark, etc. were present. Full coverage on cspan yesterday. Made my blood boil
I need my mouth washed out after the swear words I've been mumbling this morning :-)
Gonzales said that the enemy is listening to them......Pity they will not internalize THAT.
