RICHFORD, Vt. -- Rep. Bernie Sanders collapsed Sunday while attending the funeral of a Vermont National Guardsman killed last month in Iraq, but he was able to walk to an ambulance without assistance.
"I feel all right," Sanders, 64, said as he left the building. "My wife had a flu. I'm fine."

And hopefully, this thread won't degenerate as the first couple did.
Well, I had hoped he had been overwhelmed by a sudden realization as to the futility of his socialist viewpoints.
But I'm glad he's OK.
All right? You'd think he'd feel "all left."
No, Bernie, you feel all left.
He was never "all right".
Can we make fun of him now for being a socialist?
Or should I still pretend to care about his welfare?
He's never even a little "Right"
Chuckle.
Interesting mind, this fellow has. He collapses but blames it on his wife's flu.
I think the problem was people making fun of him because he's a socialist that fell ill, not simply because he's a socialist.
A socialist was ill to begin with, but point taken.
"Interesting mind, this fellow has. He collapses but blames it on his wife's flu."
Which is a nice change from 'Bush's fault.' ;-)
While I wish Bernie no ill will, I have to say, the guy's a moron. He really believes it's still 1937 and he's got to get ready for the next big Flint sitdown strike.
He thinks Stalin is really OK at heart.
"I feel all right," Sanders, 64, said as he left the building. "My wife had a flu. I'm fine."
Sounds like he was delirious as well.
Okay...am I missing something here? His wife had the flu, so that's why he collapsed? What?
When Bernie was the mayor of Burlington he used to push people to sell their real estate to the local community land trust. Basically the seller agrees to except much lower than retail value for the property and the property becomes a co-op or low income housing.
When Mr Sanders sold his home, however, he sold it on the open market. In true liberal fashion he believes in welfare for all but not in paying for it personally.
Since the goal of every Socialist is to have me stand in line behind people receiving services and goods that I have paid for with my own work, it's really difficult to empathize with them regarding a health problem. I really don't think this Sanders guy can "feel" what reality is like. Maybe if he suffered more he'd come around to our point of view.
Bernie is one of many reasons I don't miss Vermont!
