The only reason there is any substance to these things is because the announcers on ABC hate the Steelers. Madden got thumped by the Steelers and is still sore about it. Rush Limbaugh is the only fair and balanced (and professional I might add)football announcer that the networks don't have the courage to hire! Steelers won!
I love when Michaels busts Madden's chops about the Immaculate Reception. Madden has never forgiven us for it and love hearing him sputter about it when he gets going.
