Re: the Seahawks not making maximum use of the seven seconds left at the end of the first half: I'm no football expert, but the coach's action mystified me, it struck me as something you'd see in a high school game, totally yahoo. But at the same time, as a Steeler fan, I said, Whew! Thank goodness Stupid messed himself out of some points, so much the better for us Steelers!

Well, I'll dispute the labeling of our guys as "stupid, thank you :-), but the move itself? yeah, I'd give you that action was stupid except as you say, it was mystfying and I'm still scratching my head on that one.

I don't even think stupid adequately defines what the hell that was all about. I still haven't heard an explanation that makes sense where I could label it a dumb move, but understand where the heads were. Just as I still, for the life of me, don't understand why the Steelers called a timeout and saved a few seconds for the hawks.

That was the most, and I love the word cause it fits, mystifying series of events by both teams I think I've ever witnessed.

For the Steelers, it didn't hurt them, so their move while I don't understand it can be brushed aside. The Hawks can't be brushed aside cause it did hurt them.

Regardless, that end of the first half is probably going to be a puzzle for the ages. Makes no sense, not even in retrospect.
