Like I said I'm not a big football fan, but when I saw the same offense by the one team resulting in a penalty, but not for the other - the whole affair struck me as meaningless, something I would want no part of and wouldn't want my players to risk injury for.
this is going to be talked about for YEARS. Like the JFK conspiracies.
This was so sick. I like football. I hate to see it become a WWE type entertainment event.
I'll agree it was pretty bad, but what about Roseanne Barr's rendition for the Padres {baseball} in San Diego where she spit at the end of the song?

Cowher Funnies
When Bill Cowher gets a toothache, he doesn't go to a dentist. He goes to a sculptor.
Bill Cowher's been running the bus since long before he met Jerome Bettis. The little elementary school miscreants were never reported to the principal by the driver because Bill Cowher pantsed them and stuffed them through the bus' open windows.
Unlike another famous tough guy NFL legend, Bill Cowher don't need no stinkin' Levitra.
Contrary to popular belief, Three Rivers Stadium was not leveled by dynamite charges. Bill Cowher stared at it for 30 seconds.
When Dick Cheney is in "undisclosed location," he's shampooing Bill Cowher's rugs and washing his floors (and any other household chores Mrs. Cowher needs done while she's at the gym).
Bill Cowher didn't play quarters in college; he played Susan B. Anthonys.
Bill Cowher let the dogs out, which explains the condition of Heinz Field.
Bill Cowher is a man's man, despite what Kordell Stewart believes.
There are only two places on earth Bill Cowher's enemies feel safe - behind bars at Abu Gharib or Guantanamo Bay.
Yeah right, cause Denver and Dallas so love the Steelers. Hasn't been any misery dished out to either of THOSE franchises by the Steelers and vice versa.
Face it, there was one iffy pass interference call and one close but correct call at the goal line. If you don't think he got in you just don't know the rules.
You don't want to get flagged for holding then don't wrap your arms around the guy and tug the back of his jersey. Only losers make excuses.
You must have watched on ABC - Another Bengal Crybaby.
well, I have just been checking other sites and believe me, except for the die hard Steeler fans...most people think something very wrong went on with the refs.....disgraceful IMO....
Um, no you're grasping at straws now.
I am a Browns fan.
LOL
Let's add a little perspective to that comparison. A comedian normally known for her obnoxious behavior is asked to sing at a routine game in the middle of the season. Result - an embarrasment to the Padres and to baseball in general.
Vs.
Two bona-fide, Grammy winning, platinum album performing stars. Aretha, one of the best ever and Aaron Neville, whose family and music is an institution in New Orleans are invited and plan for weeks, to deliver the Anthem at the most watched sports event of the year.Result - The worse Superbowl/World Series/NBA CS rendition ever. (Maybe Jose Feliciano in 1968 can compare?)
Yes, Rosanne's was worse, but then everyone knows she can't sing a lick.
Really should be a play by play analysis of the whole game to look into this.
Was every Seattle offensive possession killed by penalties?
Seemed they had a lot of and 20s on downs.
The expressions on the faces of the officials didn't look right either.
These guys seemed nervous.
I'm sure the Steeler fans would have wanted a clean win.
Still though illegal block on a tackle, common!
I am honestly afraid for the future of the NFL.
Ok, so it's ABC - Another Browns Crybaby. Seattle lost because they gave up huge plays on defense and couldn't move the ball without holding. Look at the film and you'll probably see some other plays where they held and didn't get called.
We could have lost the Indy game on a bad call but we didn't because the Steelers made plays and the Colts didn't when it counted - same as what happened tonight.
