Cremate her. Dispose of ashes in women's restroom ceremony.

Well, as a woman who didn't want to marry and have children, I'm glad there are more choices available for women--my parents' marriage was a h*llhole, and no way did I want to emulate that.

And if Friedan had any real part, even if small, in making more choices available and acceptable to women than only being a wife and mother, then, my hat's off to her.

...laid the groundwork for the modern feminist movement

As Rush would say, I appreciate the feminist movement, especially when I'm walking behind it.

You were basiing your decisons on the bad marriage you saw between your parents. How do you know you could not have met a good, kind, loving man and lived out a wonderful life together????

I'm a wife and mother and now a grandmother and I wouldn't trade it for all the money in the world. It's one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. Payment is love with raises coming in the form of children, grandchildren and a husband who loves and respects me and we are growing old together loving and caring for each other. Show me something better than that.

I'm not one of her fans, but BF did try to keep the "feminist" movement in the mainstream, and away from lesbians, bra-burners, and other assorted anti-male, anti-religious trash.

LOL, with Islam about to take over the world, and make every woman worth less than most animals, let's see what extremist females pull out of the hat to combat that approaching tidal wave, choosing any and every thing except JC--Lotsa Luck!!!

And if Friedan had any real part, even if small, in making more choices available and acceptable to women than only being a wife and mother, then, my hat's off to her.

Mrs. Friedan and her nutty friends had a significant part in demeaning marriage and poisoning relations between the sexes. The effect of discouraging people from marrying is to encourage men to be unscrupulous with women and use them sexually, as opposed to sacrificing for them as a husband does.

The true effect of feminism is to encourage men to act like such heels that many women forego marriage because they believe that no man can be trusted. That Hobbesian state of fear is not the foundation of any civilization, and it sure does push the birth rate below replacement.

Reminds one of Europe, for some reason.

Her sister Helen Thomas could be heard shouting "I'll get you my pretty...AND YOUR LITTLE DOG TOO!"

Thanks Ms. Friedan for making us women who choose being a wife and homemaker as our "career" feel ridiculed, uninformed, ignorant, and stupid. I personally love being a wife and get total fulfullment out of this. It makes me so sad that I continually get flack for this.
