Is your argument that we cannot afford to follow God's word?

Well, Gods word per the Bible says slavery, indentured servitude and polygamy are fine as well. Does that make it morally correct in todays world?

My ancestors came here to escape the catholic church and church of england, and for religious and economic freedom.

If this bothers you so much, you are free to move your mission to Mexico and make it a better place, so the illegal aliens do not have a reason to come here.

Christianity is a foreign import to Mexico.

I dont see any references to the "day of the dead" in the Bible.

think you better read the Word of God some more because what the hierarchy is insinuating is blasphemy....and i don't think that i'm he only one thinking this either.
The Holy Family was law abiding and not migrants. The "flight" to egypt did not make Them illegal immigrants or MIGRANTS.To compare THEM to illegal immigrants goes beyond belief.
no where in Scripture are you told to lie, steal and commit fraud.

What do you mean by "we"? Are you referring to the individual or the state?

If you are referring to the individual have you given your money and assets to help?

If you are referring to the state, the state is not a Catholic entity. Even Bush is not a Catholic. Why would you expect the state to support a Catholic or even a Biblical tenet?
