CNN just reported that Jacob Robida, accused in the Mass. gay bar attack, has been captured in Arkansas after a shootout. I think they said a patrolman was killed in the attack. (Link is to article from today's Boston Herald) Details soon
CNN: AP: Arkansas state police say a man wanted in connection with an attack at a gay bar in Massachusetts has been apprehended after a shootout with police.
The suspect should have been brought to justice on the spot..
Keep him in Arkansas, they'll deal with the cop killer correctly.
bttt
AP reports he has been arrested and hospitalized. "During the attempt to arrest him, Robida was injured" and it also reports that a policeman and a woman accompanying Robida were both killed in the shootout. A press conference coming up later.
No "official" confirmation from New Bedford (MA) police, but this is what CNN is reporting from AP.
Maybe there were too many witnesses.
The cops have ways of getting rid of garbage like this.

NORFORK, Ark. - A teenager accused of going on a rampage at a Massachusetts gay bar with a hatchet and a gun was in a Missouri hospital Saturday after two shootings in northern Arkansas that resulted in the death of a police officer and a woman accompanying the wounded teen, state police said.

Jacob D. Robida, 18, was transported to a hospital at Springfield, Mo., after an exchange of gunfire with police in Norfork, according to state police spokesman Bill Sadler.
That a police officer lost his life apprehending this animal is a real tragedy.
A yahoo map check says that Norfork is about 160 mi. north of Little Rock, nr. border w/ Missouri
yes; can a moderator change headline to include "policeman,
woman reported killed" somehow?
Does Arkansas have a death penalty?
Yes
"...it also reports that a policeman and a woman accompanying Robida were both killed in the shootout"
Oh, by the way... Next CNN will put these details in footnotes.
Yes Ark has death penalty. (Mass. of course has not, not even if a policeman is killed, despite Mitt Romney's attempt to
get that passed)

Just ping the mods.
Uh, no.
Present the headline as it was in the source article.
Still electrocution? Well he qualifies in more than one way. What's wrong with these teenage males? I sometimes wonder if you could stop them , would they still be killers in their 20's or 30's?
It is a sad case, That this guy will more than likely live longer than his victims,I am upset that he was not arrested before now.

Sadler identified the slain officer as Jim Sell, a member of the Gassville police force. Sadler said he did not know the name of the woman who died in the gunfire at Norfork.
Robida was wanted in the attack Thursday at Puzzles Lounge in New Bedford, Mass., that left three men wounded, one critically.
Police have labeled the attack a hate crime and said Robida would be charged with attempted murder, assault and civil rights violations.
