But can you see what I mean by Aikman...? IMO, the 70s and early 80s were the golden age of football, my favorite era. The players of today don't compare to Walter Payton, Mel Blount, Tony Dorsett, Kellen Winslow... today's players need to show me way more than what I'm seeing from them.
That said "the experts" say Aikman is a HoFer, he's borderline for me, but I have high standards.

Look at it this way: Your drafting professional QB's, and you can chose ONLY the QB's in Canton Ohio, the ones already in the Hall of Fame.
What round would you draft Aikman? Before Montana? Before Staubach or Bart Starr, Unitas? Before Otto Graham ?
It's all opinions, sure. And not a really critical topic either 8<)
But, before somebody can tell he is qualified for the HOF, tell me which HOF quarterbacks Aikman is clearly better than.
