I noticed the "outlook on life" part too. So if someone's a "glass half empty kind of person" you can't point that out? As it would be insulting to their "outlook on life"? WTF? Forget it folks, based on this, their goose is already cooked, it is just a matter of time for them to realize that dinner is about to be served.
