Not a bad overview...But here is another point. Everytime you import 20,000 H1-B, which increases the supply and dampens the wage, you send a clear message to domestic high school students about to enter college. The message resonates loud and clear. Don't take the hard math and science classes, the return isn't worth it. Take liberal arts. Become a banker, butcher or lawyer. Don't be a geek. You can make more money doing the "soft" stuff.

Why do you think those jobs can not be outsourced as well? The best banking jobs will go to where the smartest bankers are.

Or leaarn a trade and become a good business person. For most males, going to a 4 year college is insane. Go 2 years and take the basics at a community college, spend two years learing a trade and off you go.

and that's what's happening - none, I repeat ZERO, of my techie colleagues are sending their own kids to college for engineering. the field is being killed within one generation as far as americans are concerned.

"...you send a clear message to domestic high school students about to enter college..."

That's a good idea.

Let's sit around for the next ten to twelve years waiting to fill these jobs.

I'm sure the rest of the world will stand around and wait for us.
