I've sat and watched whole football games while in the other room they circled one and prayed and prayed .... and spoke in tongues for hours trying to get that one to "be filled by the holy spirit". And finally after saying about 3 words that sounded like a 1 year old.... praise God.... the person has now been endwelled by the Holy Spirit.

My wife and I visited a pentacostal church for a while,
and within a few weeks we were asked if we would be willing to be "coached" in learning to speak in tongues.

The nonsensical babbling is NOT speaking in tongues.

If someone starts speaking in a language he doesn't know,
as was the case after Pentacost, that is truly speaking in tongues.

I saw a show on the Angel network where an older lady was
babbling phrases and getting her partner to repeat them over and over to "get the "feel" of "speaking in tongues".

Disgraceful.
