Thanks!

The forecast from weather.com is pretty bleak:

A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM PST SATURDAY.

A RAPIDLY DEVELOPING STORM WELL OFFSHORE WILL SWEEP THROUGH THE NORTH PACIFIC...REACHING VANCOUVER ISLAND BY EARLY SATURDAY. A VERY STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE INLAND VALLEYS AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. BEHIND THE FRONT...AN AREA OF STRONG WINDS IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ONSHORE AND THROUGH THE SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON INTERIOR AND THE NORTHWEST OREGON INTERIOR FROM AROUND SALEM NORTHWARD AND INTO THE CASCADE FOOTHILLS.

NEAR AND AFTER THE FRONT...EXPECT STRONG SOUTH WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS BETWEEN 55 AND 65 MPH AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. WET SOILS FROM THE LAST MONTH AND A HALF OF HEAVY RAIN WILL LIKELY CONTRIBUTE TO TREE DAMAGE AND POSSIBLE POWER OUTAGES.

THE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DECREASE LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING ONCE THIS STORM MOVES FAR ENOUGH AWAY TO THE NORTHEAST.

RESIDENTS SHOULD TAKE ACTION NOW TO TIE DOWN LOOSE OBJECTS IN YARDS. DAMAGE CAN BE EXPECTED FROM THE HIGH WINDS...ESPECIALLY TO SIGNS...TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES. POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE. DRIVE WITH EXTREME CAUTION IN THE WARNING AREA.

It can't decide what it's doing in the Oly area yet. Was raining steady, then the wind started up and little bits were coming off the trees. 10 minutes later, you can barely hear the rain on the roof. One power flicker so far.

Make that 3 flickers - midnight by my machine and it's starting to rain a bit more again. Winds are starting to kick back up, nothing too bad yet.

Having been through several hurricanes and typhoons I say good luck to all.

Just a reminder to be extra careful while driving on bridges and in wide open areas.

Tie down or bring in outdoor items. Items like garden hoses are often forgotten and left outside but can do damage if not secure. Also hanging items such as plants are missed.

Just felt the first big gust of wind. Rain going sideways now. I can't imagine the power staying on. Sounds very ominous out there.

Just felt the first big gust of wind.

Same here, but it seems to have died out. I'm in north Seattle. The lights are blinking, but so far the power is holding and the rain is nothing unusual. I wonder if we're going to get a big storm after all?

I got near my home and their are broken off sections from evergreen trees alreay all over the streets.

I wouldn't be surprised if they close the 520 floating bridge tomorrow.

I'm on Capitol Hill...the biggest gusts are supposed to hit Seattle city at 10 a.m.

They're saying highest winds between 7 am and 1 pm.

Thanks, child - you know that it won't be easy trying to rescue all of the hard drives and the family treasures if a tree falls on us!

Winds and rain are slow at this time, it doesn't look like we'll get as much storm as we did a couple weeks ago. Certainly not as bad as the last big one in NV before we came up here.

Thoughts on the dome, pressure and weight of the snow?

It is a pressure supported roof and has caved in before.

Superbowl Weather:

Rest of Today
Rain and snow early in the afternoon...then snow late in the afternoon. Accumulation 1 to 3 inches. Highs 36 to 40 during the morning...with temperatures steady or slowly falling the rest of the day. Northeast winds 5 to 15 mph until around noon...becoming north 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight
Blowing snow. Heavy snow. Breezy...colder. Accumulation 4 to 6 inches. Storm total snow accumulation 5 to 8 inches. Lows 23 to 27. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph until around midnight...becoming west. Gusts to 30 mph.

Sunday
Mostly cloudy. Light snow showers likely during the morning...then a chance of snow showers during the afternoon. Breezy. Accumulation around an inch. Highs 29 to 33. West winds 15 to 25 mph...with gusts to 35 mph. Chance of snow 60 percent.

Sunday Night
Partly cloudy. A chance of light snow showers. Breezy. Lows 19 to 23. West winds 15 to 25 mph until around midnight...decreasing to 10 to 20 mph. Gusts to 30 mph.

Pah~ Well we didn't get a tree falling on us, so all's well as end's well, no? xD

Well, that's good. Big winds = big damage, a lot of the time. I bet the only reason we didn't have trees falling all over us in NV is that there were hardly any trees. :P

We had gusts up to 101 mph off the dock, here in Whatcom County. We are in a temporary rental in Birch Bay, while we build a house, and the wind blew the window right out in the livingroom.

We had 5 perfectly normal-sized trees AND 2 stunted lilacs. Those don't count as many? :) Many sagebrush "trees".. Big weeds if you prefer, but at least there were 4 varieties! Besides, in NV we got to chase the barbecue up the hill. That should count for something!

Oh, my goodness, Eva!! I hope you are okay! What did you do in the middle of the storm? I wouldn't have had anything big enough to cover the opening!
