I am expecting a massive amount of government corruption to be splayed, displayed, and dealt with before W's second term (thank You, Lord!) is completed.

I have had this thought from time to time; it's almost like if we're patient, it's all going to be connected and exposed.

You know, when the head of state is seeking a clean house, it's harder for the dirtballs to hide. And when the rugs are lifted, he isn't going to be afraid to call in the clean up crew. Sometimes the truth hurts (very badly), but people like W and those he has around him would rather face the bad pain short term so the country can have a clean house long term.
