Also .. after Roberts tried to end the hearing .. Rockefeller chimmed in and wanted to respond .. and in the middle of Rockefellers lecture about following the law because the law is the law .. Roberts left the hearing before jay finished talking Thanks for checking that out. That's how I remembered the sequence and I also remember Rockefeller sounding really funny, his voice had that tone one gets when something is very personal. (But I haven't seen enough of him to actually know if that isn't how he always sounds.)
What do you make about his question regarding the covert status? Was he trying to defend the leak because it wasn't covert?

Are you saying the "terrorist surveillance program" was not a covert program ?
Then, how can the leak about it have hurt this country if it was not covert ? And if it's not covert, why can't anyone talk about it ?
