They're the Klingons!

I've always thought of the Klingon's as more like Vikings.

Actually, as I recall, in the original series, they acted more like the Islamists -- a "conquer or kill anything not like me" kind of thing.

Of course, we hear the Vikings were a bit like that, too. Maybe they're the later Romulans or the Cardassians or something.. :^)
