I agree publishing those cartoons was irresponsible. I thought it was anti-Semitic of that British newspaper that published a cartoon of Ariel Sharon eating Pali babies. And I thought it was wrong of the WAPO to publish the cartoon of the Army caricatured as dismembered hospital patient.

Everyone had a right to publish these, but does everyone have to exercise their right to be racist, insulting or tasteless?

Racist you get problems with, but tacky, insulting and tasteless is a protected right most places where there's freedom of the press.
