I doubt the US will engage in this soon to happen war since the Taiwan act doesnt cover indepence caused by Taiwan itself, Only if it's attack.

Heck, if I were the Taiwanese President, I'd build them and then go public and state that since "we're just a part of China anyway" that the nonproliferation treaty doesn't apply to us.

Excellent point.

Gee, I hope this means that we can expect full Chinese support on Iran and N. Korea.

I'm guessing that any administration would rather see Taiwan go under, than to risk a downside to the economy...they all want to either get elected, or re-elected.

Agreed - and that is why Washington is such a threat to OUR FUTURE because they are far more interested in the politics of PERSONAL POWER than they are the issues facing this country and its people.

That is where the danger lies. Add it up. Confiscatory taxation and runaway spending, 9/11, the realizations of ABLE DANGER, the visible crimes and treason of a two-term reprobate President which was TOLERATED, and on and on....it speaks VOLUMES about the agenda of Washington.

That is the way politics is...they may be a threat to our future, but they are also the future. I can't think of any better way, can you? What civilised country does not have politicians?

"We Chinese will prepare ourselves for the destruction of all of the cities east of Xian. Of course, the Americans will have to be prepared that hundreds ... of cities will be destroyed by the Chinese."

So...we have to make sure that any retaliation will be far worse than that, and publicly say so. Let's say...ground-bursting (for maximum long-term radioactive contamination) our N-warheads/bombs on all of their ports, fishing villages, river mouths, agricultural areas, water reservoirs, dams, nuclear power plants, nuclear explosives/fuel/waste processing, oil/natural-gas fields, and uranium/coal/iron etc...mines in addition to the cities and industrial areas. And then put them on notice that we are going to expand ABM development to counter their missile arsenal.
