Morning P,
Maybe it was billy blythe klintoon who set the churches on fire. Possibly the impeached one thought, they were all military recruiting stations.

I was wondering if there are any mosques in close proximity of the churches or surrounding area.

Wait!!! I solved the case. The perps are a "Right Wing White Militia Group" trying to put the blame on the "religion of piss."

I am anxious to really find out who are the perps
As I See It,

Morning OA94,
I hope you are not suffering from the white guilt syndrome. This sympathy tactic was promulgated by the left wing commies, for opportunistic motives.

Sins of the ancestors, need not be passed on through future generations.

"some of the churches in Tennessee that burned during the 1990s were the work of satanic cults."

I don't buy the satanic cult theory.

The story at Fox mentions that at one of the churches there was a bunch of flowers that were under an American flag and that is what they started the flowers on fire with an excelerant. The Fox story also mentioned the FBI being involved as well, (which of course, one would think they would be), but I wonder if Homeland Security will be involved as well.

IMO it has the earmarks of the ROP. Of course they never give us any reason to think like that....sarcasm/off

oops, that should say they started the flowers on fire with an excelerant and the flowers were under an American flag.

To me the reason the stated that in the story was to indicate the flowers had been moved to that location under the flag, doused with an excelerant and set on fire.

Not to mention the co-ordination of the fires.

>>I don't buy the satanic cult theory.<<

I have no information on the latest church fires but my information about the 1990s fires came from an FBI agent assigned to investigate certain fires during that time. This agent may be in Georgia now but I have not heard nor have I seen them on the news.

I think the latest fires are probably tied to a local perp somehow, but only time may tell.

72-year-old Shorrosh heads the Anis Shorrosh Evangelistic Association and ... has survived 11 attempts on his life..."I received 50 threats on my life in one day on our Internet Web site," Shorrosh said...

In his book, he expresses his opposition to the belief that Islam is a peaceful religion and Muslims are a non-violent peace-loving people.

Apparently, he is a bit more acquainted with this fact than the rest of us.

>>My guess is satanists over any other individuals or groups.<<

My info regarding the 1990s fires came from a contact in the FBI so cultists may also be behind the Georgia fires as well. Hopefully time will tell.

It would be unusual for someone to cover this much ground in one night, cause this much vandalism and not be seen or not leave a clue at one of the crime scenes. If it is an angry local who did this, their arrest should come rather quickly.

It's those Methodists! I never did trust them . . .

Reminds me of that Stephen King book/film 'Needful Things'.

I would put my money on some leftist nutcase pro-homosexual or pro-abortion group if you leave out some preacher burning his own church for the insurance and a few more to throw them off his trail. Yes, that has actually happened before.

For those of you who don't know, the Southern Baptist Convention was formed due conflicts over slavery with the Baptists from the North.

And the Northern Baptist Convention became the forerunners for modern day liberalism and apostasy in denying the fundamental principles of the Word of God... denying the virgin birth of Christ, Creationism, the bodily resurrection of Christ, the inerrancy of the scriptures and so on.

I would like to think it isn't, but as I have pointed out the area not too far to the Southwest of the burnings houses a large Nation of Islam population. SO it cannot be ruled out.

....So it cannot be ruled out .....except of course by the left-wing ideological media and the politically correct federal investigators who will only go after crimes committed against blacks, or Muslims or most horrendous of all, crimes against gays & homosexuals. Predominantly white Baptist churches unfortunately just warrant the same level of investigative interest. Nothing more here....time to move on!

It's starting all over again. The Nazis murdered Jews, Gypsies, Pagans and Roman Catholics- all peoples whose religious traditions involved "defense against the dark arts" (for lack of a better term.)
The Evangelical churches in the US are some of the few congregations who still believe in the literal, physical existence of evil. Given the fallen state of the Catholic priesthood at present, one's best bet to find a "demon hunter" would be one of these firebrand Southern Baptist preachers. What they lack in technical knowledge they make up in faith.
Call me crazy, call me stupid, call me superstitious-
but what's behind the rise of Islamofascism, the resurgence of Nazism, the reforging of the Russian Empire, and many other recent events is older and darker than most of us dare to imagine. We're facing yet another battle in the war that goes back farther than recorded history. Good versus Evil. If we lose- or just don't bother to show up- the world falls back into yet another Dark Age.

I always thought that Southern Baptist could be black or white.

Southern Baptist churches supported slavery which is why they broke off from the main Baptists in the first place and later segregation. They have since admitted they were wrong and have made strides in improving relations with other races. But for the most part, most Southern Baptist churches are predominately white while most black Baptists in the South are Baptist but not Southern Baptists.
