If we had just one legitimate major political party in this country, then maybe the personal freedoms that us common citizens cherish might be safe. But the bozoes who call the shots in these two political parties we do have, think the only free speech issues worth fighting for revolve around contributions to political campaigns. No politician wants to defend the right of some jerk to call someone offensive names, but if a society is to remain free it has to be done.
This is nacho usual type of complaint about Taco Bell; it borders on serious.
And chances are that the libs will use the sex offender registry as a model example for a national "hate offender" registry...yep, use hate speech, you go to prison, have to register as a hate offender for the rest of your life, wear a GPS ankle bracelet for life, and be under lifetime probation.
The New America : Freedom For Far-Left Liberals, Slavery For Everybody Else
"any misdemenor (breach of peace) is elevated to felony if there is any component to the crime involving protected groups (which even includes the obese, so in PA if he had said, Hey Fat A&* hurry up with my order, it would still be a felony)"
So if a guy rejected a date from a girl because he thought she was too fat, he's automatically a felon.
Dear America : My allegiance to you is on the line. If you decide to go down the Western European path of socialism and criminalization of hate speech, I will decide to disavow my allegiance to you.
"Calling the ACLU, Calling the ACLU -- hmmm, no answer."
Don't you know that the ACLU will only fight for the rights of the far-left? And don't get me started on the ACLU's stance on the forced implantation of microchips (they're actually in favor of it....as long as it's applied to all people).
