Good God, he phoned the thing in from the ski slopes in Switzerland - that's gonna go over real big in Topeka, Des Moines, and Brownsville. The only political dray-horse to heave his ponderous form into action as a result of this less than clarion call was his long-time political patron and fellow Senator from Taxachussetts - no, Teddy, we haven't forgotten your part in Kerry's disgraceful 1972 perjury - and if no one else in the party was impressed it was because it wasn't very impressive. Among the Dems are professional politicians who really do want to win in November and they knew a stinker when it was dropped at their feet like a partially liquified mackerel.
It was an embarrassment, a debacle, high comedy wearing the shabby costume of high drama. It was Dukakis in the tank. It was Carter being chased by a homicidal rabbit. It was Kerry wind-surfing into obscurity. For those of my Democrat friends who are truly suffering now I can only say I feel your pain.
Kerry and Kennedy need to work to get Cindy Sheeman elected, then they would have more Moonbat support for their silly ideas.
