Pat Buchanan is a true conservative who remained unfaltering...Yeah, only true conservatives pal around with Pali's and call Marxist sycophants their friends and allies.

The main difference between Pat Buchanan and Dan Rather, is that Rather is the Communist and Buchanan is the National Socialist. They both hate Jews and Israel. The reason that Pat is the MSM's favorite Republican, is that he keeps the meme alive that Republicans are fascists.

The vitriol directed toward Pat Buchanan on this thread and others is absolutely reprehensible. Pat was a true, loyal conservative when Hannity was in diapers. Yet he's demeaned and disrespected merely because he refuses to tow the neo-con line. You sound like a bunch of liberals in your personal attacks on him. If you disagree with his points, refute them...but his conservative credentials are simply unimpeachable.

Many people no longer remember what it means to be a conservative
Concepts like fiscal responsibility, liberty at home and peace abroad, adherence to the constitution, small govt. etc are absolutely foreign to most "self-proclaimed conservatives" today
With no actual principles to adhere to and give their ideas coherence "conservatives" are swept along by every hyper-emotional trend and craze that crosses their paths instead of relying on critical thinking skills
Sad, really.
But that's what you get when people rely on AM radio and talk shows to shape their opinions instead of reading Hayek, Weaver, or even (God forbid) the Constitution.

Pat was a true, loyal conservative when Hannity was in diapers That statement is true. However, since 1996 or so, Pat has become a shrill antisemite, and "Nativist". He is so "Paleo", that he resembles a "Know Nothing" from the 1850's.

It is not unlike what has happened with Charley Reese the last several years. The entire topic of the middle east drags these two so far from mainstream FR goodthought that they are reviled. Reese seems to have a pathological dislike of israel that defies reason. Buchanan is a much better writer and knows his history far better but when it comes to the middle east and particularly palestine he is way off base.

I contributed 25 bucks to this guy years and years ago in his first primary. Ya never know then what ya know now, right? Ditto - LOL! Met him twice, too. Considering his height, I was surprised at how small and soft his hands are.
I still believe he was correct on NAFTA.
