Oooh the Midwich Cuckoos! I think I read all of John Wyndham's books as a young teenager. They were great reads, well above the level of most pulp sci-fi. Consider Her Ways (which can be read online by clicking that link). It's an amazingly prescient story about an all-female world run by feminists that first appeared in print in 1960. Much better entertainment than reading about Indigo Children.
