Indigo Children, as they're called, typically exhibit a combination of common characteristics such as being strong-willed, creative, intuitive, independent, restless, possessed of a deep desire to help the world and, often, able to bond easily with animals.

In other words, little liberals.

I don't know about where you live, but here in Florida, we've got laws against that sort of thing!

Nope - little conservatives:) At least my kids are pretty darn conservative and they fit this "indigo" description pretty well. My 5-year old has butterflies land on her every year.. weird.

Anyway, my 14-year old swore up and down that he was an alien from the time was 2 until he was 4.5. He would watch the sky and every so often he would say "There's my spaceship, coming to take me home" He's not that way now, thank goodness! He went on to reading "The Introduction to Calculus" when he was 6.

My kids are creative, smart, okay with animals.. Very independent and strong-willed. Restless isn't even the word for 2 of them, hyper is more accurate. They may even have ADHD but we're coping without doping and that's the way I want it to stay. They do want to help the world. One says "Get rid of stupid lawsuits and people that don't know how to drive", another says "get rid of taxes", yet another says "If there weren't so many stupid people around, the world would be much better off". The latter generally is said after reading something in the local newspaper (Olympian).

My kids fit this description just fine but I don't think they fit with the agenda behind this movement very well. Certainly not the one (hopefully!) enlisting soon. He'll be one saving the world via US military might.

No, not really. Liberals just WISH they were like that! :)

That description fits me very well - not so much the animals, but that may be more because I don't have access to many. I LOVE watching them, though.

I am, and always have been, "strong-willed, creative, intuitive, independent, [and] restless", and it has often gotten me into trouble with my parents, thinking that I always "knew" better than them what was good for me. Luckily, I've wised up, otherwise I probably would be a little liberal, instead of a little conservative, and still getting in trouble over things every day. :D

See, that description is so very "me" - but I sure don't think I'm special in any way other than the fact that God made only ONE of me, and no one else will ever be exactly like me. And that's enough for me. I'm not about to go shouting out that I'm an "Indigo child".
