"And that won't be supporting - financially or with votes - any candidate or party that doesn't strongly endorse enforcing existing immigration laws."

Several weeks ago I received two separate letters (donation requests) from the RNC. One was in the form of a "survey" (nothing on illegal immigration of course) and the other was a letter request for donation enclosing my RNC 2006 membership card. I marked up the survey with comments and criticism for various questions, stating there would be no more donations until I see a complete stop to the flood of illegal aliens and a conservative agenda in place and being acted upon. For the second letter, I cut the membership card in half and pasted it to the back of the donation card, marking it up with the same sort of comments.

So far, no calls from the RNC. When they do call--and they always call--I really feel sorry for the RNC guy on the other end of the line. It won't be pretty.

LOL! I should be more creative like that. I like the idea of cutting your membership card in half and sending it back to them. Doing things like that would keep me amused and might get the message across better!

I did get a call from some poor lady at the RNC a while back - I started out ranting and raving at her about illegal immigration, but after she seemed to agree with my stance, I sort of lost my momentum. But she did say she would note my concerns and let someone know.

We just need to get more of us to do this. I hope that when we're facing a Hillary vs. a pretend conservative for president, we don't cave into the immediate situation and let the GOP continue business as usual. I'll need to come back to FR then for the motivation you provide so well!
