This is why i've started to worry more lately about the push to turn the Arab world into western style democracies. The amount of money, time, and effort it'd take to turn these stone age people into modern citizens of the world is beyond what the administration (or anyone else) could have possibly imagined. Best to start doing a better job of exploiting what oil resources we have in this country, come up with new technology, and continuing on on Bush' outlined goal to wean ourselves off of Middle Eastern Oil. Then let these buffoons have that nasty, hot, and sandy region.

I can't say that I disagree with you, but unfortunately the ambition of the radical muslims is such that they are not content to ruin their own lands, but instead will take advantage of white/Western/colonial guilt to immigrate to nations where there ideology is anathema to the majority, but largely unopposed by the elites.
