Not enough info to form an opinion here.... H&C are not asking the right questions, such as:
Why didn't you request leave of absence?
Is there any other family members like mother or wife who could have been with Joshua?

They're from Michigan, specifically the Port Huron area. Our state economy couldn't be much worse, so it would be good to know if he was part of a mass layoff.

It's not as if that hasn't happened recently here.

He did make it clear that he was dismissed due to so much absence from work. I also inferred that it was a small business that he worked for.

Thanks, but I missed it. Out in California on business, but thanks for the ping.

All personal decisions have consequences.
Some consequences are deemed good, some bad.
If the man was unable to make arrangements with his employer for extended and unpaid time off, he faced a hard personal choice.
As did his employer.
Everyone I know faces hard either/or choices eventually, if not every single day.

Mr. Mike Sparling said that Josh has about 18 months of rehab remaining, barring any infection. His bone graft is doing well except that it is growing back at too much of an angle. It will have to be fixe3d but at least Josh will NOT loose his leg.

Mr. Sparling had his hat on and even a coat & tie. He looked real good, distinguished if I can say. He sat next to Lynne Cheney during the Bush's SOUS.

More tear-jerker, cheap, sensatio-exploito "docu-drama" presented as legitimate news by the gang at "Fair&Balanced".

Think for just a moment what harm this will bring in terms of morale deflation for our brave men and women in harms way around our planet.

Fox ought to have it's tail kicked for these kinds of things.

Josh is a HERO. Josh's Dad is being a GREAT DAD. Mike Sparling's employer needs a wake up call! Anyone know the employer? I would like to share my thoughts with them.

Josh was wounded in Iraq - nearly lost a leg. Has had 21 surguries so far.

He's also the young man who got the card saying "I hope you die". Very impressive and humble young man.

Good Wishes for PFC. Joshua Sparling - recovering soldier who received 'DIE' greeting card.
