Bisbee resident Lee McElroy bangs a saucepan lid with a wooden spoon during Tuesday's festive Drown Out the State of the Union gathering at Goar Park. A group of anti-Bush activists were present to voice their disapproval of the president. (Mark Levy-Herald/Review)

The laws of nature are hard and fast -- everyone must grow old but not everyone grows up.

Bisbee huh .... Isn't that the town with a huge hole and a hotbed of UFO abductions?

I remember back about 1969 my parents used to drive us down to Atlanta at Peachtree and 10th street to see the hippies. Its good to know that they are still out there somewhere. How in the world have these people survived all this time?

It's just so touching that the Democrat Party welcomes with open arms, those who were "left on the roadside of life'.

The best thing about hippy dipsticks is their age. They'll soon be unable to do anything but fling their full Depends on each other at the 'Rainbow's End' rest home.

I just don't get the new-old generation of protesters. Is J.Q. Public going see these folks on the street; see their unbathed unkempt appearance, banging on pots and pans like badly behaved children and conclude that perhaps a conventional view is wrong and we should follow in their lead instead?

I love Bisbee, but it has a die-hard contingent of burned-out hippies. During the '00 election, there were far more Nader stickers than Gore or Bush combined. Nevertheless, the town is one of Arizona's unknown treasures.

Do you notice that left wing kooks like to wear Wool Hats?! I notice it in every damn stupid demonstration they hold.
