I remember the days of Reagan being that he was the reason I got interested in Politics. Reagan lifted America up from era of defeatism, were many Americans beat their breast proclaiming how bad we were... A salute to our fallen commander that inspired me to serve..
I also remember the Republicans deriding the deficit, and his listening to the right wing of the party (I guess now it's neocons and such).
Reagan had his mission... It was a much clearer mission to most Americans since it was back by a longer shared history with his fellow Americans... The defeat of Communism...We lost Vietnam to the same disingenuous voices we here today.. Americans hate to lose.. Reagan didn't lose focus by trying to do to much... Deficits went up.. Federal Government expanded... The Soviet Union Fell
Bush has his mission which is much tougher since his domestic enemies our desperate from their loss of power and since many of our Fellow Citizens are new to the threat posed by terrorism.
I want control or our borders, I want less federal government, but I am patient.. The battle is still young... The enemy(Dumbocrats) is in disorder but because it hasn't realized it's true situation it is at it's most dangerous... Let it go through it's death throes...Then border's will be address (Terrorists will come regardless of any border fences or security they have to be defeated in their breeding ground but we need to control immigration for domestic reasons and moral reasons), and government will be brought under control... We have our best long term gift from Bush.. all the Judicial Appointment in his 2 terms... The will be a gift that works as miracles cure to our ailment..
