There is some indication that alot of Conservatives are angry about a few important issues. In many cases, they are legitimate gripes. It remains to be seen, however, whether this will have a serious impact at the ballot.
Simply put, and I think you would both agree, if the Conservative voters in a given area dislike the Republican in office, they may very well vote against him/her. If they like the person in office, they will vote for him/her. The most that we as voters can do in a year like this is too support the candidates we agree with, and whom we have the ability to vote for or financially contribute too.
If there are certain issues that we would like to see action on, such as illegal immigration, than the most we can do is help to change the party by voting for Conservatives who share our ideals. President Bush cannot run again, so as another poster on this thread previously said, all politics truly is local.
If it is change that one desires, the best answer is to help provoke change and/or action from within the Party.

Clearly that sentence came out weird, but I think you understand what I mean.

I say that is insanity.
If you want the country to become more conservative, kick the dems out of office. The moonbats think having dem beat Chaffee is a good idea, while they won't lift a finger to help Swann beat Rendell.

(MOONBAT CONSERVATIVES are those who would rather lose to a liberal than support a moderate)
