The president went to Nashville, Tennessee, today, to give a speech on his 2006 agenda.

He signed a proclamation in honor of American Heart Month.

There are pick up photos from last night of Associate Justice Alito's ceremonial swearing in, and from the president's State of the Union speech.

Welcome to Sanity Island!!!!!

I had trouble with my credit card too. Last semester I changed my address for my credit card from my home address to my school address. It had been at least a month or two since I had changed it when I tried to order the calendar but it wouldn't accept it. Then I tried again last month and it went through.

Last pic in 31. Looks like Rummy's practicing his own version of the "Condi Death Stare". Wonder what prompted that? LOL

Thanks for the ping and the pics. Great job.

Gretchen, stories like yours amaze me at what the Lord can do in a person's life. Many have gone through what you have and then became bitter and ended up treating their kids the way they were treated. The love and concern you show to your neighbor children show how much the Lord has healed your heart.

I'll probably ping both the Day in the Life and the prayer ping lists.

I'm thinking of doing it Saturday, so I'll give you a ping. :)

Truth, you are so right -- He has done a great work in me, and He continues it (that clean up on aisle seven thing) -- by that I mean, there is more healing coming all the time. I often think about Joseph's words to his brothers who sold him into slavery, "You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good," and how God used the murderous intent, the worst of betrayals by his own brothers, to save those very brothers' lives later. It is a stick in the devil's eye every time I help another person out of what God has restored to me. I like that.
