The third party types gave us Carter and Clinton.
A vote against the republican is a vote for the
liberal democrat. If you have any values you will
vote for the republican when you know in reality no
third party will win.

That's why I voted for George Bush. However, George Bush represented 85% of my values.
If someone is too far to the left, I can't in good conscience pull the lever for him/her.
Keep in mind that in the 1800's the Republican Party was a third party.
