Dean has done exactly what he said he would do..spend millions of $$$ in EACH state..the DNC has paid for staffers,a nd offices in every state..the state chairs LOVE him...what this is abotu is that deep in their hearts, the Dem leadership knows they will fail to make any gains in November, so Pelosi and Reid are setting Dean up to be the fall guy, to save their own skins..
I think that the split is deeper than that, but I'm not sure what side Pelosi is on. Biden made statements on the Sunday talk shows about Reid's own ties to Abramoff being a problem, as well as his ties to gambling interests. With Reid in charge in the Senate, the Democrats can't really talk about the Republican "culture of corruption". It would be a joke.
Pelosi, on the other hand is as far left as Dean, and will say anything she wants, whether there is any truth to it or not.
