Wrong. She was there to get attention. If she had been told to zip up, she would have just unfurled a banner later or started shouting and screaming. Under no circumstances would she have quietly sat down and behaved as a normal spectator.

The correct move was to remove her.

"The correct move was to remove her."

Update!

Funny, but it turns out that al-Cindy wasn't the other person ejected from the House Gallery last night for wearing a political t-shirt.

From the DNC's Associated Press[excerpted]:

Florida Rep.'s Wife Says She Was Ejected From State Of Union

February 1, 2006

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The wife of Rep. C.W. Bill Young, R-Indian Shores, told a newspaper that she was ejected during the State of the Union address for wearing a T-shirt that says, "Support the Troops Defending Our Freedom."

Beverly Young told the St. Petersburg Times that she was sitting in the front row of the House gallery Tuesday night when she was approached by someone who told her she needed to leave.

She said she reluctantly agreed, but argued with several officers in an outside hallway...

For some odd reason, I don't think we'll be hearing too much about this incident.

Yup.

Can you imagine if, after yelling and screaming, they had to forcibly remove her.

Not a pretty site and a "see I told you so" for the loony left.
