why was this kid in the chase in the first place? tough to be on someones side after you have been speeding away from them at 100mph. but he did not deserve to be shot.

You'd have to ask the driver, the Airman was the passenger, just "along for the ride" so to speak.

yeah, it looked like he was on the passenger side. i wonder where the driver was. did he flee? did the cop have a partner? i have lots of questions. i will say this: i am amazed this type of thing does not happen more often. it is a testament to LEO training and makes this incident all the more troubling. thankfully, it is the exception, not the rule.
