Kerry clearly had his head up is ass and now the usual suspects in the MSM will trot out some statistic that indicates that 53% of Eskimos or Native Hawaiians or whoever don't graduate and suggest that it was to this that Kerry was referring. Carter, Mondale, both Clintons, Kerry and Gore also peddled themselves as Big Thinkers and it was taken as true by the MSM. For a while, Doctor Dean was supposed to be a genius until he exposed himself beyond the point that even the MSM could cover for him. By contrast, while "Big Thinking" liberals get free passes for their gaffs, the MSM perpetuates the stereotype of Bush '43 as a moron for less egregious mix-ups (while having many more opportunities to commit them and having them captured on film/tape.)
