The men that Dr. Lifton describes are very familiar to me. They use the same arguments and reasoning as the trolls I've dealt with regarding forced euthanasia. They all felt morally justified in their roles. They honestly believed that what they were doing was right, not only for society, but even for the people they were killing. There was one particular Nazi doctor, who if I thought for a minute he could still be alive, I'd swear he was a certain Freeper who opused long ago. The similarities are really unnerving.

Although the court's decision to uphold the agency's right to remove her from life support outlined a history of more than a dozen abuse complaints going back to 2002, the redacted DSS brief omits that history, stating only that the adoptive mother, Holli A. Strickland, applied for voluntary services with the department for her daughter in June 2004 because the child "had been hospitalized and was exhibiting self harming behaviors."
In other words, they redacted info to protect themselves, not Haleigh. They actually included a false allegation against Haleigh, to make her look bad, and try to make themselves look good.
