Do you know what an "assault weapon" is? If you do, please elucidate. Do you think that the public should have fewer options regarding choice of personal firearms than the police?
"Do you know what an "assault weapon" is"?
I do. A submachine gun shoots a pistol round, like a 9mm or .45 ACP. A full size rifle shoots a full sized rifle round, like a .30-06 or a .308 or an 8mm. An assault rifle shoots a round of intermediate power that is more powerful than a pistol round and less powerful than a full sized rifle round. It also has a selector switch for either semi-auto or full automatic fire. It is also smaller than a full sized battle rifle. One advantage of an assault weapon is that more ammo can be carried into battle because the ammo is lighter.
