Will not go quietly into the night as a Senator.

This travesty must not stand. The peeping and snooping and spying must be investigated. He will submit legislation to form a commission to investigate (ala 9/11 commission) the activity.

Says that the President should ask Congress for the powers necessary to capture terrorists among us. "A little sunshine on this porcess is long overdue."

He's a man on a mission. See his NAY vote yesterday on cloture, to take up the USA PATRIOT Act for debate. "Unchecked executive, arrogantly acting ... tryanny" ... wants the text of the 4th amendment printed in the record following his remarks.

Yes...Byrd is on a mission...and he is fully capable of being "angry" on his own..

But, don't you kind of wonder if there are people telling him that IF he wants to get help keeping his seat in WV...he better throw his weight behind any and all plans they have to derail BUSH at all costs???

After all, they can't be really happy with him...when he got up and chastized them for the Alito hearings behavior...
