The "People's" State of the Union Address?
I love how these liberals try to put a socialist spin on things. Hey Cindy... you're in the wrong country. Move further south... way south, you waste of sagging flesh.

"I'm still trying to find out why the president's Gestapo had to arrest Cindy Sheehan in the gallery. ... It shows he still has a thin skin,'' said Rep. Pete Stark, D-Fremont.
The Capitol police are top notch and professional. Some of them have given their lives to protect Congress. What Congressman Stark said, referring to the Capitol police as the "gestapo", is disgraceful, outrageous, and dishonorable. He should be censured for it.

From NRO
Rep. Todd Tiahrt... just stopped by Blog Row here on Capitol Hill where a few of us watched the SOTU. One blogger asked Tiahrt what he thought about Cindy Sheehans arrest.
He quipped:
Senator [Dianne] Feinstein, who Sheehan is apparently challenging for Senate, might be interested to know that Representative [and fellow Californian Lynn] Woolsey invited her opponent to the speech.
Gotta love it.

If you are an active or reserve GI you have the right to put a
short note in your Equivalent ORB or SRB (Officer Record Book or Servicemen's Record Book alongside your RED (Record of Emergency Data) (The RED or Equivalent designates who should be contacted and the recipient of your SGLI (Serviceman's Group Life Insurance). Put a note in your ORB or SRB addressed to your family and a copy to be maintaied with your record book. ...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
To whom it may concern: It is my wish that in the event of my injury or death, POW or MIA Status
That my name or likeness not be used in opposition to the war effort or in any way which may be perceived to give aid and comfort to the enemies of the United States and/or my fellow comrades in arms.
You can view Sheahan several ways. Nut Job, Leftist, or most charitably as a Mom who has truly lost her mind over the loss of her son and is being exploited by anti American forces. In any case protect your family and all your loved ones from exploitation and help them to understand and respect your wishes by stating them in advance on this issue either way.

There is every indication that Sheehan was a nut case long before her son died. She gets no points from me for her loss. Other families remain dignified, while this nutty bitch becomes an anti-war whore for the wacko left.

Howlin, Very few posts on even DU supporting Sheehan. Surprising.
Only the very far left loons cheer her on, and if DU is somewhat muted, that is incredible.
Sheehan is embarassing them.

Meanwhile, the AP (Arab Press) runs biased editorials on the front page and thinks it can convice people it is news:

Anti-war protester Cindy Sheehan (L, blonde hair), whose son was killed serving as a U.S. serviceman in Iraq, is rushed out of the U.S. House of Representatives chamber by security personnel after arriving for the State of the Union address by U.S. President George W. Bush on Capitol Hill in Washington January 31, 2006. There were unconfirmed reports that Sheehan had been arrested. REUTERS/Jason Reed

I think that just makes the case ever stronger to take the preventative measure I outlined.
When my neck streached a bit I would have very distressed to think my name would be used as a cudgel to beat up my Comrades and the Country. (I would have been just as unhappy knowing my WWII Combat Vet Dad would have trouble explaining why he plugged somebody as well) the Letter would create a nice counter and might even allow legal action to be taken to disavow explotation of any GIs death as they designate.

I can't believe that either. Here is the President, Vice President, most of the cabinet, most of the Supreme Court justices, all the Joint Chiefs, and both the House and Senate all in one room and they let an unstable person in?Well its not like they can tell Ted Kennedy to wait outside.

I agree with you 100%. She long ago used up that "crazed by grief" excuse, especially since her positive comments about the President when she met with him early on were revealed. Her insinuation into any anti-Bush venue and her self-centered view of current events is simply beyond anything someone unhinged would do. She is a calculating leftist and I haven't an ounce of sympathy for her.

If stability was a prerequisite for entry into the SOTU, the ENTIRE DEMOCRATIC PARTY WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE.
They cheered the failure of social security reform and sat down when the president urged congress to renew the patriot act and protect the american people. They also had "the people's eyebrow" giving the response.
Instability is an understatement.
