Politically weakened? Oh man, no bias there, huh?
Alito is on the Supreme Court, unemployment is at its lowest point ever, Iraq is a democracy.
That is some kind of weak President, yessiree.

Bush said the United States and its allies were united in insisting that Iran not develop nuclear weapons. Speaking directly to the Iranian people, Bush looked toward a different future for their country and said the United States "hopes one day to be the closest of friends with a free and democratic Iran."
You know if you think about it that is one loaded statement. What do you think it would take to make that happen? I think the best way IS to work from the inside. Bush has said that the United States supports those who wish to change their governments to a democratic society. Word to that effect, not a direct quot.

They keep trying and trying and trying to bring Bush down. With his 2 supreme court appointments along with victories in Iraq and Afghanistan, this man will be a shining light in history a hundred years from now - a true visionary.

Let's not forget, one big reason we are "dependant" on Mideast oil is that we worked like hell to get dependant on Mideast oil! Check back 30 years on the big jump in prices that we could have avoided, we discouraged domestic production with feel-good crapola, we set ourself up, really our politiicans set us up.

I heard that part of the speech, looks like the Reps have given up on ANWR and any and ALL harvesting of our own oil resources.
If President Bush can't get that with gas as high as it "IS", well I bet he's SOL on all the other little and big things he wants to do.
If he get one more slot to fill in the SCOTUS I guess that will be enough to fill out his legacy over the next 3 years.
With this current lame arse Senate I see his agenda going nowhere.
