Thanks for posting. I didn't know what I didn't know. ;)
I totally agree with the troops. Couldn't careless about a pretty boy reporter. Sorry, if I sound heartless but that is how I feel about MSM and their ridiculous reporting. I do feel sorry for the families though. Their waiting and hoping that all will be well. It is a very difficult time for them. Prayers for all our Troops. Message to reporters, if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

There is nothing so precious to the American Press as the American Press.

The media finally takes note that this is really a war on terror that we're fighting. Until one of their beloved own gets injured, it is nothing to them but a "story". They could care less about the actual men and women who sacrifice for their well-being every day. God bless and protect our troops!

Here's my political limerick from yesterday covering this:
ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff
and his cameraman had it rough
They thought to embed
and nearly were dead
now they've learned IED's make it tough!
Prayers for all!

Why don't you stuff a sock in it. I wouldn't have seen this story unless joyce11111 had posted it. Go be a frikkin' librarian and make sure there aren't two books of the same title in your local library. Sheesh.

There was about 2 minutes between posts, so his post wouldn't even been seen when I did my post.

During Good Morning America on Monday, I believe it was Diane Sawyer who made the observation that perhaps Woodruff's being so badly injured would be the "tipping point" in the war, that he was someone so well-known that it would be "one person too many". With comments like this from the arrogant 'It's All About Us' media, no wonder the troops are upset ......

Yup, the world revolves around the "pretty people" of MSM. Unbelievably narcissistic. It's disgusting.

"The point that is currently being made (is that) that press folks are more important than mere military folks," a senior military officer told UPI Tuesday.Only to the MSM.

That's one reason why I don't post. Thin skinned posters who think mistakes shouldn't be made. They are probably the ones who dreamt up the "zero defects" motto because they can't see themselves ever making a mistake.

WOW. Spot on. These media types are self absorbed.
To: joyce11111
I agree 100% with this article...and the soldiers and Marines who are calling this IED bombing exactly what it is..."media hype for their own".

Maybe a perquisite for being an American journalist should be time spent serving one's country in the military.
I'm not entirely unserious.

I hope its a tipping point, too. Maybe the assclowns in the media will see that we are fighting an enemy that will not back down, one that needs to be annihilated.
Think how many of our servicemen and women would still be alive if the first time the MSM learned how to pronounce the word "Fallujah", there would be no need to say it again, because it had disappeared off the face of the earth.

I often haven't seen the "first posted thread" on a subject and unless something has been posted five or six times, all under the same title, I'm not likely to raise the point. I know it hogs JimRob's bandwidth if the duplicate post policy is trashed, but the occasional inability to locate a dup is not always the poster's fault. Also, sometimes two FReepers put up the same thread within minutes of each other and that isn't their fault that they were both being diligent simultaneously, when Search couldn't show them the other person at work.
