Frankly, this speech scarred and worried me. Bush has done a remarkable job with an unbelievably trying presidency. And it's coming to a close.

He did a good job controlling his audience (in the Senate chambers). But we've been warned. The world has become an alarmingly dangerous place, and I don't see another George Bush on the horizon. I worry for my republic. I truly do.

The world has become an alarmingly dangerous place, and I don't see another George Bush on the horizon. I worry for my republic. I truly do. Alot of us thought this very same thing in early 2000. Then GW stepped up. I have had the privilege over the last two years of meeting and greeting a ton of young, strong Republicans. The next GW is out there- I am excited to find out who it is.

Watching the dems and their refusal to even politely applaud for anything related to the WOT was profoundly disturbing to me. And their undignified cheering at blocking SS reform was disgusting.

It seems half our elected Representatives have a death wish for the country. All they care about is winning. It made me wonder if the minority in the House has behaved this way before.
