Thank you. Ever since Clinton, I've realized the SOTU address is more digestible when read rather than watched. I don't need the long applause breaks or the dog-and-pony elements. I just want the meat and potatoes of the speech - this saves time.
BTW, I thought the line item veto was already law and wondered why Bush wasn't using it. I thought it passed while Clinton was still president.
