ABC News claims that the network will take care of the medical bills. They wouldn't say, though, whether they'll pay Woodruff's and Vogt's medical expenses directly, or if they'll let the insurance cover it.

>You didn't get that?
I see what you mean. And you're right.
Our people, should get more stories, but the MM is not really interested in putting these stories in front pages. Bad MM.
First and foremost he's a taxpaying American citizen and should be accorded all the rights, duties and entitlements of any other citizen.
Raising the question is a losing proposition by an amateur and something I would only expect from the Left.
This is probably one of the dumbest articles I've seen posted on FR.
Unless, of course, he's a member of the media they don't care for, like that conservative columnist who died in a Jeep crash. (Rush Limbaugh used to quote from his columns.)
Woodruff has gotten more coverage than the people defending us in the WOT. Sorry, just doesn't seem proper to me. I'd rather see more, and more prominent profiles of our people, our heroes, not Woodruff. Even his cameraman doesn't get equal coverage!
Woodruff is recovering, so I hope we're done with his story. Back to focusing on the welfare of our troops, please, ABC.
I know that ABC is a bigger outfit than any company I have worked for but the big companies I have worked for would shell out cash for injured employees and not bother with the insurance companies just to avoid the hassle.

Oh pishaw. LOL
But with 2500 (Iraq &Afghanistan) killed and over 20,000 seriously wounded of our heros it become a huge task to profile them all, although I believe they should and raise consciousness of the tragedy.
I'm not suggesting they profile them all, but looking at the coverage of Woodruff, I'd love to see this kind of coverage for ONE injured soldier a month, perhaps.
