I think his 'speaking for the Commonwealth of Virginia' was his not-so-subtle way of flinging it in the face of Virginia conservatives in particular and conservatives everywhere in general, that he is a very Blue governor of a supposedly Red state. He isn't just a stark-raving dipsh*t, he is an ARROGANT stark-raving dipsh*t. Four more years of this ..... if I wasn't laughing so hard at his performance tonight, I'd be sick.

Good analysis! Did you notice Ron Popeil in the background? I'm sure he had a can of spray-on hair in his left hand. And I think I saw a syringe of botox on the mantle..........

I felt like i was wathcing Jack Nicolson in the first batman movie. I was very offended at the lie that he spoke for the commonwealth. never touch another man's rubarb and never say you speak for someone you don't speak for.

Hmmm...if by saying he is speaking "for the Commonwealth of Virginia," then is he saying his speech was "official business?"

Now the SOTU is official business by the President, although yes, it does have a large political component to it. I would hope that Virginia taxpayers were not charged for preparation of the rebuttal, though.
