A new season would mean more pictures of River Tam(Summer Glau). I fear I have damaged my Serenity DVD from all the pauses on her that just seem to happen.

If they do a series, I really hope that the time frame is between "Objects in Space" and Serenity (the movie). I'm sure that most people here will know why, but for those who haven't seen Serenity, let me just say that there's a change in the cast. And I feel that the original cast was one of the best ensemble casts ever, on par with Hill Street Blues.

I agree totally......I think that picking up after that episode would be perfect. Plus, it would at least give more screen time for Wash and Book.

Heh. Kaylee's my favorite and she was underrepresented in Serenity, so I'm all for anything that gets her more screen time.

No, for me, well, I'm just in LOVE with Kaylee! From the first time I saw her smile where she said, "I love my captain," I was smitten! Seriously though, I thought that she was just perfect in the series, but in the movie, WOW, she lost a bunch of weight. I thought that she was so much prettier in the series.
Still, I think that she gave the best line in the movie: You know which line I'm talking about... Referring to "batteries."

I wish there would be a season 2. I can't believe all the crappy Sci-Fi that goes for season after season on TV and Firefly was cancelled after a half season. One of the major reasons I don't subscribe to cable and thus only get two channels....
To: MarkL
If you need to know what happened between the series finale and the movie, pick up the Serenity comic books from Dark Horse Comics.

It bugs the heck out of me that we never learned what Book's story was....

Saw Serenity after Christmas, while we were holed up in VA for a couple weeks. Loved it.

No kidding. Firefly (and Battlestar Galactica, the new series) are both "best of breed." I'm honestly not sure how many times I've seen each episode of Firefly. I've seen each episode at least 8 or 10 times, probably more, and I've only had the DVD set for about 5 months now. And Serenity? Well, it shipped the Tuesday before Christmas (I ordered 1 for myself, and 1 as a gift for a friend), and it arrived on Thursday. I watched it Thursday night, again Friday night, and then Saturday (Christmas Eve) when I took it to my friends' house, we watched it yet again!
I've seen it at least four more times since Christmas.
And I've watched the BSG mini-series/season one DVDs multiple times as well.

Loved it here too! Would like to see a rebirth of the series, if they can maintain the quality already established.

It bugs the heck out of me that we never learned what Book's story was.... My guess is that he was a former "operative".
To: KevinDavis
Well if they go for an internet based show it'd do wonders for the medium's popularity.
I envision a world of IPTV and limitless streaming channels paid on a small subscription basis.
