Very good people and low-wage, hard-workers are in demand (probably always). What about the others? Become "very good" at what you do, or accept the low-wage hard work. What do expect to do -- skate your way through life on somebody else's hard work?

Liberals are pissed off because Wal-Mart offers non-union jobs to unskilled workers at less than the normal unionized wages found at the U.S. automakers who have to pay extremely high wages and pensions to people with little more than high school diplomas. The automakers now face bankruptcy under the weight of union demands while their foreign competitors flourish.
You want a higher wage, get an education in a field that you can earn a real living at and that doesn't mean a degree in basket weaving either.
